Green Woman Herbs has been a lifesaver for my skin. When I first contacted Kathy at Green Woman herbs a few months ago, I had horribly dry, extremely red, itchy, and peeling skin around my mouth/chin area. My makeup wasn’t covering them up anymore and the patches became worse. I tried several over the counter cleansing/moisturizing products to combat the dryness, but my skin broke out worse and my redness and peeling became even more noticeable. The over the counter skin products were extremely harsh and my skin was paying the price for that!! My extremely sensitive skin was in desperate need of someone that would understand what I was experiencing!!

Kathy started me on a regiment of the Aloe Cleanser, along with the Aloe It Light Moisturizer, TLC Herbal Slave and the Comfrey Cream. Although, I have to admit, trying new products had been my worst fear for my extremely sensitive skin, but, I figured, how much worse can my skin get?? Immediately, I saw an improvement in my skin, the redness was gone, the patches of dry skin began to heal up. The Aloe Cleanser was so gentle on my skin, it didn’t burn, didn’t cause redness or itchiness, as I experienced with other over the counter skin cleansing products. I used the TLC Herbal Salve for just the first few weeks to clear up the badly broken out patches around my mouth, not only was it soothing on my skin, my redness was gone, almost instantly!! After my patches began to heal up, I started using the Comfrey Cream at night which was also very soothing on my skin and improved it greatly!

Since my skin has healed up beautifully, I have continued using the Green Woman Herbs line of facial skin care. Not once in the last 6 months have I had any sort of the dry patchy skin breakouts that I was experiencing before. I hardly wear any makeup now, due to that fact that my skin looks so wonderful, why cover it up?? After I use the Aloe Cleanser in the morning, I follow that up with the Chamomile Hydrosol Blend or the Neroli Mist and the Aloe It Light Moisturizer. In the evening, after cleansing my skin with the Aloe Cleanser, I follow that up again with the Chamomile Hydrosol Blend or the Neroli Mist and trade off with the Comfrey Cream with the Ginger Enzyme Elixir. I also use the Herbal Facial Scrub every week or so. Yes, even on my sensitive skin, I am able to use this wonderful product!! My skin feel so wonderful after I use the Herbal Face Scrub!! If in fact I do experience a blemish, I dab the Sage Astringent on it and it takes the redness and swelling away and the blemish is usually gone in the next day!!

I have several favorites of the Green Woman Herbs Skin Care Line, including the Body Balms, Body Polish and the Tangerine Express Aromatherapy Soap. In fact, I shave with the Tangerine Express Aromatherapy Soap and use the Aloe IT Light Moisturizer after I shave to prevent razor burn. I used to experience razor burn all the time with the use of commercial shaving products. Actually, I even got my husband to try and use the Aloe It Light Moisturizer after he shaves. He also has extremely sensitive facial skin and breaks out constantly from shaving. The Aloe It Light Moisturizer has prevented his razor burn also! My husband and I don’t dread shaving anymore because of these products!!! I’ve even shared another Green Woman Herbs product secret with him, the Sage Astringent for occasional blemishes- works every time!

Sometimes, I find it difficult to decide what products I am going to use on a daily basis, so many decisions and I love all the products equally!!!! This line of all natural skin care has truly been my lifesaver. Kathy has been wonderful with answering all my questions and concerns with my skin care. I couldn’t ask for a more caring and sensitive skin consultant!! I’ve told everyone I know about this skin care line and give all the credit to Green Woman Herbs when I receive compliments about how great my skin looks. DETOX Bath & Body Oil~ I use it for just about everything. Whenever I shower, I use it with a loofah. It goes onto every part of my body (though I haven't ingested it). Not only am I clean, cleansed, but I'm soft as butter. I also use it on my face along with the ginger enzyme. I don't know why , but my skin glows and it lasts all day. Whenever any part of my body feels "out of whack" I massage the DETOX on the area and voila, everything returns to balance. (Clears an upset stomach almost immediately) I don't know why it works for just about anything- it just does. Oh, I also gave some to Ellen. She loves it too....she'll probably get one of the bottles you just shipped.

AND...it smells great...even my husband noticed the fragrance. I think I'll have DETOX in my cabinet as long as you make it. Thanks for making such wonderful and wholesom products~ packed with love and care

Hi Kathy,

I use the comfrey cream the way other people use “Ben Gay”. However, I think that(because of the comfrey) this product has mild anti-inflammatory properties as well as mild analgesic properties, and it smells good! I use it for tight muscles and for massage. I experience relief from osteoarthritis symptoms, without side effects!

I used to be a pharmacy tech in the Army and the cream is very smooth and very well blended, “pharmaceutically elegant.”

Just wanted to let you know the package did arrive on Friday; I showered last night using the soap sample you included (thank you) , then I put the body balm on my legs and hands ... I've been up for quite a while alread this morning, doing laundry, baking, washing dishes ... and I just realized that already my hands don't look like they are covered with a thin film of powedered sugar from little skin flecks. And that is AFTER having my hands in hot water this morning.

I am very pleased with the products I received!! Most of them were stocking stuffers, so my family/friends were very pleased, as well. The Body Balm is just exquisite. Used as recommended while my skin is still moist after showers/baths, I don't feel as dried out later in the day. I'll be happy to try the balm in Zanzibar! You sent a cotton ball whiff and it smells great. The friend who received the Horse Chestnut Liniment is happy with it, and really loves the GWH St. John's Wort Oil I gave her, too. She has lots of injuries from years of Akido practice. The soaps are wonderful - the rose especially nice. I rely on the Cold & Flu Syrup and start taking it if I feel an illness coming on or if I'm going to be in an airplane or crowded place. The room spritzer is refreshing. I haven't gotten a report on the Sore Muscle Oil or After Sun Oil, and I'll keep my ears open for reviews. The ingredients can't miss! I think my next purchase will be a face moisturizer, one of the products I haven't tried yet. Now am I forgetting anything? Ah, yes, the Ginger Enzyme - perhaps the results are subtle or I haven't used it long enough.

I believe your prices are very generous, especially for the care taken in making the products and the quality of the ingredients. I appreciate that the herbs are not picked in the wilds, for the most part, and I very much support organic farming. I believe that intention during the process is vitally important, too, and something tells me that you all care.

Hi Kathy, I don't know if you remember, but I had told you that I would let you know how things turned out with the soothing salve I ordered. You see, I had the beginnings of an athletes foot problem. It took me a little while, but I finally buckled down and starting putting the salve on my feet every night with socks. And a week later, my problem had been stopped in it's tracks! The soothing salve worked great! Do you think it could be the tea tree oil? Also, I had you recommend some products for my mom's rosacea, and she had a really good experience with the vitamin c cream. Sun and heat really exasperate the rosacea, and one day she had to be in the sun for about an hour. Well that was enough to make her face beet red and swollen! Right about that time, I had given her the C cream that you sent, and she used it morning and night. Well after only 1 day and into the evening of the 2nd day, she said that both the swelling and redness were almost completely gone! She has told me that no other product has worked that fast for her when she has a bout like that. She also said that the tangerine soap left her face feeling soothed and softer. Yes, everything arrived safely is great as usual. I have to tell you a quick story, though. When I bought things from your after Thanskgiving sale, I bought some shampoo and soap and figured I'd have some ahead. A few weeks later I went Christmas shopping with a friend and she mentioned to me that her favorite scent was lavender.We stopped at 2 high end bath & body shops and she let me smell the lavender lotion which she loves that they sell. It smells nothing like lavender as far as I'm concerned. To make a long story short, I gave her the shampoo and soap I had just bought so she could try it out. She told me a few days ago she loved the soap and was going to try the shampoo. I thought it was so great that I had the stuff on hand to give her because of the sale you had. My daughter Carys likes the lip balm, but she's also one for Chapstick. At 12, she's not yet into cosmetics, praise be.

She and I both adore the facial scrub. She even got into it before giving me the chance! I use it in conjunction w/the face wash in the shower. It provides a wonderfully clean, buffed, yet gently moisturized complexion. It's now part of the daily regimen. We both heartily approve of the body polish's finer texture. Though I find the Eucalyptus/Spearmint teriffically clarifying and invigorating, Carys said she prefers the floral and citrus fragrances. The polish is especially beneficial for those rough elbows, knees and feet. So much more luxurious than a simple pumice stone.

A friend first introduced me to Green Woman Herbs about 2 years ago. Since then, I have become addicted to a wide variety of their products. There are four Green Woman products that I absolutely cannot live without. The Aloe Facial Cleanser, the Body Balm, the Ginger Enzyme Elixir and finally the Light Moisturizer (my absolute favorite). I tend to have very dry skin, so immediately following my shower I apply the body balm, which literally melts into your skin, keeping my skin soft all day. The Ginger Enzyme Elixir is a lightweight alpha hydroxy lotion that I use under my facial moisturizer. My favorite product is the light moisturizing lotion which I use every day on my face, especially around my eyes.

Dear Green Woman Herbs,

I had my second child this past May and though each birth is different, this one was exceptionally different. With my first boy my midwife told me to massage the perineum with oils to help elasticity during labor. It worked...no tears, but I still had the feeling of (not to get too graphic) rawness and burning which lasted a few weeks. This time around, I used a different oil given to me by a friend called Green Woman Herbs Birthing Oil. Instead of the burning lasting a few weeks, I waited for a few weeks for it to come on. It NEVER did!! I didn't tear, and I never had to use the awful squirt bottle when I went to the bathroom. Not only was I amazed that the rawness never came, but during a one week post checkup my midwife asked me if I had really just had a baby because my parts were healing at an incredible rate. Thanks for checking in with me. The products are working out great. The chamomile hydrosol is actually perfect for me when the weather's cold; it's gentle on my skin, but it still does the job and feels very refreshing. I also really love the soothing salve. Nothing else keeps my feet as moisturized. I slather it on at night and wear socks to bed. I do that about 2-3 times a week. And I just can't say enough about the healing clay w/botanicals. I have moderately sensitive skin, and have had no bad reactions with this. It feels like it's really purifying my skin. My face feels really good after I rinse it off. I'm also enjoying the aloe cleanser. It has a pleasant smell and it removes every trace of makeup, including eye makeup. Oh, and last but certainly not least; the shampoo/bodywash in zanzibar. I love the invigorating fragrance! This stuff is so great as a shampoo. It's manages to be gentle on my hair, but still give a thorough cleansing.
